LENT

IIII have given up.... buying any mac products for lent. Its kinda to try to save money, and also because.. im fuckin addicted to that stuff. BUT i have to admit. i didddd get 2 things from the mac store today. BUT I DIDNT USE MY MONEY. i used the macys gift card that nico gave me. Sooooo i bought another set of lashes, and i bought plum dressing eyeshadow. mmmmmmm that was the last of it for a lonnng time though.. I think i can last. and i feel like its an opportunity for me to actually try new stuff (way to save money huh?) like nars and urban decay and smashboxxxxx. we'll see. ill try to cut down though.

HAPPY BELATED VALENTINES DAY!!

of course its belated! because yesterday i was doing nothing but spending all my time with my wondderrrful lovely lovely boyfriend of mine. I hope everyone had as much fun as i did! I was able to plan out the whooolle day and have loads of surprises for my lover. We went downtown for the day - for the most part it was okay weather... for some reason, i think there is SOMETHING that controls the weather, because throughout the whole week its been pretty nasty, but on that special day, everything works out fine. IT HAS TO BE. anyways. we went to the mall, ate some coriander thai yummmmmmmmmm. then we walked around for a long while.

I had the chance to make nico go somewhere while i get my surprise ready. I got a bunch of rose petals, red and white, and got the room at the herbert hotel (ill show pictures from website), and threw the petals EVERYWHERE!!! the room was soooooooooooo cuuute! i loved it, it was PERFECT! so after that i went back down and met up with nico, i was too excited about the hotel so i let him see his surprise. The herbert hotel is totally unnoticeable, theres a tiny sign but theres a big sign that says HERBERT. its RIGHT next to lori's diner and RIGHT ACROSS from H&M. amazing.

So anyways the lobby is located in the same room (pretty much) as a mexican restuarant. i brought him in there i made him close his eyes and we had to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to our room on the 5th floor. so he was pretty much scared to death. We finally got to the 5th floor and by this time it wasnt obvious at ALL, because herberts keys are regular keys - not the card ones. So i opened the door and he looked inside and we saw our beautiful abode! LAVIT!

Thennn we walked around some more, shopped, etc. We had reservations at the daily grill at 9. We came early and sure enough we were seated early. other couples were waiting for 45min-an hour and a half just to get seated. but ohhhhh no we had reservations!!! I ordered the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatos MEDIUM WELL. YUM!!!!!!!!!!! omg the filet was sooooo good! Nico ordered the california cobb sandwich which was like turkey bacon avocado lettuce tomato. all that good stuff. im soooo glad we chose daily grill it was PERFECT.

After dinner we prettymuch ran to the metreon to catch push. It was pretty good, not the best though. It was still really fun. Then we finally got some toothbrushes and chips at walgreens and then we went home to our prettypretty hotel room. The sleep was goood the bed was sooo comfy. Im glad we didnt have to just go back home.

overall, it had to be the best valentines day EVER. in fact, it had to be one of the best days in my life! I love nicobico to death! anyways, here are pictures of the hotel and the rooms and whatnot. i reccomend it to EVERYONE. i paid 80 bucks for my pretty room. that was with tax too. decent price - especially for valentines day. =)

update

alright so its been a while. im so busyyyyyyyyyy and my camera was at papas house. Buuutttt I ended up preordering the hello kitty blush in fun & games - which sold out btw - and the glitter liner in girl groove. pretty pretty colors i was able to pick them up the next day! no swatches because i left my makeup at my boyfriends house. I only have pictures of the beauty powder i got (tahitian sand) and the lucky tom quad.







I looooove the casing, the box, everything. I initially just wanted to buy the beauty powder for my studio fix casing but i ended up wanting to get the blush too. But the fun and games is a pretty pretty color so ill probably use that too. I wanted the other quad really bad but i know i wouldnt use the pinks or the black as much.. I ended up buying aquadisiac which is SOO similar to the color i wanted from the other eyeshadow quad. SO IM SET. Ill do the promo picture look with that and ill post it soon. just for fun. I so wanted to do that today but i realized all my stuff is at my boyfriends house.

SPEAKING OF WHICH. my car totally broke down, and the bmw dealership is asking for at least 2 grand to fix it. ummmmmm i dont think so. looks like im gonna be stuck riding the bus for a long while. i hate going to the shop because they think that since im a girl and that i probably dont know a thing about cars that im gonna let them hike the price up that high. it is ridiculous. 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS!? my car isnt even worth 2 grand. its stupid.

nars is good stuff, but they just chase me away when i hear the price "22 dollars" or "32 dollars" i mean id really like it, but really? i always end up saying "mmmmm ill probably come back, thanks though!"

I have absolutely no time to update. every second of the day i want to update my blog but i never have a computer near me. I have tons of pictures on my camera that i want to upload - and pictures i havent taken yet - to upload too. My hello kitty stuffff.. my sonics trip, my jager bombs with papa, my game of "pass the pigs" with nico and his cousin jedi. Im trying to do the promo pic look for the mac collection and if i feel up for it i might do a tutorial - just because i feel like it. But i got so excited i started it, but im so red and shaky from those jager bombs that i wasnt up to doing the second eye. so here i am just typing away with purple slashed across one eye and one eye only. haha its okay ill fix it.

I'm also getting tired of my penultimate eyeliner. I mean seriously, it was my best friend when i first got it. But like all felt tip eyeliners... its gonna run out of fluid. And it so did. So now im gonna try buying some ben nye cake liner... I heard that stuff works pretty good..

ALSO! thanks to texanqt63, I actually went on thebodyneeds.com and bought a couple mac sample glitters and one pigment. Im not sure how often im gonna use the glitters, but Ill probably use the pigment more so I might be heading back to that website to get more. pigments last forever so no sense in buying the whole thing unless you realllllly want it. But who knows.. you'll probably find me writing some haul about how many pigments i bought. You never know, mac does crazy things to you. You can have multiple obsessions at once. We'll see.

Soooo it was payday today time to hit up costco and buy that little something something i wanted for a while.

EARLY hello kitty mac collectionnnn

I am soooooo excited. I got a little something something a little bit EARLY from the mac collection. Valley Fair had an event that unforturnately i couldnt make it to, but my lovely roommates were able to go and i gave them money to get some stuff! They were serving alcohol and fooddd. But too bad i had work, I still got what i wanted! Id prefer to be there to get more stuff... to try everything on, so i only bought the eyeshadow palette and the beauty powder, so i can use the casing for my studio fix! I dont have the stuff with me now, so no pictures or swatches available. I will definitely do that tonight! Lavitttt

Hey i got your comment but i couldnt reply back because I cant comment or message you through the blog system, but my answer to your question is... I know for sure you cant buy the palettes at the mac locations within the big department stores like macys, nordstrom, etc.. but if you actually go to the mac store, you can just ask for whatever colors you need in palette form. They usually have every color except for the limited colors with the collections. hope that helped you out! go crazy!

ohhh man i cant resist. I went allll the way back home so i could hit up the mac stooore. so i could get some palettes. Dont get me wrong, I got some ones with the casing and all but really? 3 dollars more? I prefer to save my money since im spending so much already. I hella miss my cat. Im so sad that shes just locked in the room doing nothing but playing with her balls with no human contact at all. With work and all i dont know how often i can come home to see her. She makes me want stop school just so i can go home and be with her. shes my baby. If something happened to her, i wouldnt know what to do with myself. I want so badly to live by myself to be with just her.. to give my baby the attention she deserves. It makes me hella sad..

sonia kashuk blending brush

oh man I don't mind spending money on cosmetics, but with brushes, i get a little picky. my 150 and 168 brush were given to me by casey. MAN i was so happy when she gave them to me. i love them! As soon as i fell in love with a blending brush i felt like mac's price for the 224 was too much. I went to sephora and bought one for about 15 bucks. Ive been using it pretty much every day since. I think everyone NEEDS a blending brush. I bought the 217 blending brush at mac recently because i loved how it picked up and it was flatter. It fits into my crease easier when i want a darker color. BUT USUALLY, i dont spend a lot on my brushes because i feel like i already have everything. The only brush i REALLY want is the 219 pencil brush and MAYBE an eyeliner brush but im not sure yet.

BUT TODAY. i went to target after finding out that mac didnt have the 219 brush. I tried seeing if sonia kashuk had a brush similar. I actually ended up buying the blending brush, the white brush, not the black crazy shaped one. Its shorter and more compact than both of my blending brushes i already have. I tried it earlier and i lovvvedd itttt. 5.99!! FIVE NINETY NINE. for a good brush? see sometimes you dont have to spend that much. unless you really want it for your collection or if u cant find it anywhere else.

Anyways, i like a lot of their brushes, but i already have what i need, so i pretty much didnt buy anything else.

Alright so just got back from Nico's managers party and Nico is suleeeeping and I'm bored as he'll. Yesterday I spend 40 bucks on averno products in hopes of making my skin look better and stay young (looking) it's a lot but it's worth it. For your skin?? Come on girls. You gotta sacrifice!! Always use lotions with spf in it before u put your makeup on and use night creme to help keep yourface firm and healthy. It's NEVER too early to use anti aging products. Aaaaaaaa so my "a" key on my iPhone doesn't enlarge when I click on it. My phoneis slowly dying ddddddddd omg my d key too. Oh no... Anywyas. I'm Soo excited for the hello kitty mac collectionnnnn. mmmmm maybe not EXACTLY. but do u ever wonder if you're where youre supposed to be? I do. allll the time. But recently, my wonderful lover boyfriend made a nice point. And it made me feel oh so happy.

First off. Im a manager at Gymboree. Nico (my boyfriend) works at Metro Park. One of my associates went to highschool at Anzar in San Juan Bautista. One of Nico's managers went to highschool at Anzar too. You're thinking, uhhh so?? well nicos cousin that he now lives with, went to Anzar too. This might not sound crazy at all, but to me and nico, it makes us feel liek we're in the right place in terms with everything in life. It makes me feel like I picked the right job to apply to at the right time... i picked the right time to make certain decisions in my life, which lead me to meed the man of my dreaaaaams. and yeah, a lot of times you get the whole "its a small world" but you wouldnt believe how many times ive gotten that ever since ive been with nico. And i truly think it means something. ILOVEIT!

So yesterday i went to joanns fabrics.. and i went solely to get a pattern for tinas boyfriends sisters bridesmaid's dress.. But thennnn. i saw a sewing book. it tells u how to make little cute things like a clutch and all that fun stuff. I loved it. BUT THEN i saw another one, and it was WAY better! It actually had big patterns packed into an envelope. It was originally 25 bucks but then luckily they had a 50% off coupon so i used that. 13 bucks. I love it. im gonna make all the things. they tell u how to make a duvet cover! how cool is that?! anyways, i made a little tool holder thing that i thought would be good for my brushes when i travel and such. Im so gonna start making these and selling them.

china glaze II "For Audrey"

alrighty so i am so obsessed with my china glaze. i showed everyone at work and i got jhenny into it too! the nailpolish is super good. it dries so quick.. and you know those smudges u can get soooo easily even after letting the stuff dry for like 30 mintues?? well this stuff dries so hard that u dont even get any smudges or scratches at all.

mac penultimate eyeliner

alrighty so this is the semi new penultimate eyeliner by mac from the chill collection. its pretty much like a liquid eyeliner, except the applicator is a felt tip. I've used other felt tip liquid eyeliners and i haaated it. I went to the mac store a couple weeks ago and I was just getting primer. The girl working was talking about how good this eyeliner was. and i was stuck with some shitty ass felt tip eyeliner so she pretty much caught my attention. She showed me the eyeliner and i was pretttty impressed. So i thought about it for a while and i waited until i got my macy's giftcards ($10 each) from my rewards points (wells fargo). The eyeliner is 16.50. But i used my giftcard so it ended up coming out to like 7 bucks. I didnt want to spend hella money on something i wasnt sure was gonna work.

ALRIGHT.
PROS:
The good thing about this eyeliner is that it DOESNT SMUDGE. of course you have to let it dry for a couple seconds. but once its dry, it never smudges. I put this stuff on in the morning for work and it lasts all day till the time i take off my makeup.

The fluid is superduper black. just what you want from an eyeliner.

The fact that the eyeliner is almost exactly like a felt tip pen, it makes it soooo much easier to apply. With this eyeliner, you can apply even AFTER you applied your mascara. the fluid doesnt get anywhere, its completely clean.

The tip on the pen is soooo tapered, that you can get those super thin lines you want, instead of ending up with a thick line with those regular liquid eyeliners.


CONS:

so, the first couple uses are insanely surprising. I thought this thing would never run out of ... eyeliner fluid? (but wait - i still like it) After a week or so, the very tip of the eyeliner started to lose a little fluid, but to this day, i can still use it on its side (which i believe is the correct way to use it) and i can get a loooot of dark fluid. This eyeliner is so black its crazy. Id really love the tip to still work as well as the first day i used it, but i can live without it.

so basically, this isnt much of a CON. im just trying to state that the tip of the pen (the most usable part) starts to lose some ink, so just fyi! ;)


TIPS:

okay so if you use a primer for your eyeshadows, I noticed that this eyeliner works best with a creamy primer, rather than a powdery primer (like the prep+prime from mac). At first i actually thought the ink was really running low pretty quick, but when i switched my primer to paintpot painterly, I saw that the eyeliner worked sooo much better.

so yeah - stick to creamy primers when using the eyeliner. and if you dont use a primer, thats fine too ;)


so overall, i love the eyeliner. Its very convenient and its long lasting. But its all about preference. so try it out! I would definitely love the eyeliner if they made different colors. That would be VERY good to have.

I also saw someone use ben nye cake eyeliner. It looked good so i might get some of that too.

yay! i got my package in today from ebay. I bought some smashbox "adjust" primer. Retail price is like 38 bucks and i got that shit for like 20 bucks. just doesnt come in the box, which i dont mind becauuuuse it works perfectly fine. I also went downtown with nicobico (more like dragged nico downtown) and bought some mac brush cleaner and a foundation pump for my foundation. exciiiiting. I alllsooo bought some key heads from sanrio for my keys so that i can tell them apart. they're suuuper cute! one is a penguin and the other one is a dog.

btw bloomingdales is kiiinda crazy.

Nico and I went to eat sushi with his 2 cousins, his cousins girlfriend and her roommate. aaat Sushi Zen? on taraval... its goooood! try it! its okay in price not too shabby. The Winter Wonderland roll was bombass. its a tempura roll with crab on top and then a bunch of sauce and tobiko. its good.

i just washed my brushessss exciiiting. i wanna see how well the brush cleaner works. hopefully it makes them nice and sooofft.

oh yeah! I was watching one of fafinettex3's videos on youtube. and i think it was her most recent one. But it was on this nail polish called "china glaze". Its funny because I am totally not about painting my nails. I do it once in a while because my nails are badass nasty and i bite them, so usually when i wanna get prettied up, i get my nails done at the salon. damn those acrylics are killin me. (speaking of which i will get back to that). So she talks about this nail polish on 8ty8beauty.com and the coloors were so insane that i had to go on the website and immediately get some colors. I bought like 5. theyre originally like 6 dollars each but i guess they're 2.60 or so on the website. TO MEE, thats a good deal. so i got it. MAN i dont care im getting paid thursday. Anyways ill post the video so that way any girls that are all about the nails can get lured in just as much as i did. 

and to my acrylics! i fucking cant resist going and getting my nails done, and even though i just got promoted, it would be nice to get a price cut in the pampers. so i was looking through youtube, and i saw this other video by kitcat627 (which i subscribed to), and she talked about press on nails. yooooou know. the ones us girls wanted when we were ittybitties!? i remember asking my dad to get those for me from walgreens sooo many times! he hated it. but anyways, we all know that those press on nails pop off alll the time. but just wait! watch this video and she will tell u how. as soon as i get my nailpolishes im sooooooooo getting some strong ass acetone and taking off my acrylics.

daaaaaaaaaaaang man Its been a long while since i've blogged. I can tell already that i miss it superbad. Whens the last time? ... maybe like... 3 years ago? I've done some private blogging on my own but that was because i needed shit to say and i know no one wanted to hear it. anywho - Im starting it up again.. I need something to do that is completely me. Me-time is exactly what i need. But there are no more rants and raves (thank god). My me time is not for venting anymore - just purely fun and entertainment.
